The first World Cup title to Spain, and yet, as I discussed with Patrick last night, they never looked like they hit their stride. I wonder what that says about the quality of this year's tournament. I think the announcer said that they scored the fewest goals to win a World Cup tournament. Crazy, considering the scoring prowess of the Barcelona team, which has many of the same players.
It was the first Cup I watched as a converted soccer fan, and it was great to see so many players I knew. I hope that Fabregas gets all that love for Spain out of his system and comes back to Arsenal. And if not, that Wenger demands the 50 million pounds that he's worth. Finally, how great is that octopus?
